GIC researches and develops materials that directly assist our partners' programming. As students with a passion for learning, we believe strongly in education’s role in international development. As such, many of GIC’s previous and on-going projects have been in the educational space. Key deliverables have included teacher training modules, secondary student curricula, health education workshops, and diagnostic exams in literacy and numeracy. GIC has a strong relationship with the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, a leading institution in education research.
High-quality evaluation is important to achieving sustainable impact while maintaining accountability to beneficiaries, stakeholders, and financiers. Global Impact Collaborative applies a mixed-methods approach to measuring the success of our partners’ ongoing efforts. We work from our partners’ visions, goals, and activities to determine key qualitative and quantitative metrics. GIC can assist an organization at several levels of the M&E cycle, whether it is to bolster a new program with evaluative techniques or assess the success of previous initiatives. GIC also analyzes data directly, and can assist an organization in determining actionable solutions to improve a program.
Some of the most succesful non-profit ventures act as for-profits, thinking strategically about sustainable practice, re-generating income, and effective marketing. GIC has worked on several projects in these areas and is expanding its services in business development. At current, GIC can assist an organization with strategic planning, researching innovative funding models, and branding and marketing new initiatives.
